FH Technikum Wien

The University of Applied Sciences Technikum Wien (UAS), Austria's university of applied sciences for technology and digitalization, has produced around 16,900 graduates since it was founded in 1994. Currently, just over 4,500 students are enrolled in the 28 Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. These academically sound and practice-oriented degree programs can be completed full-time, part-time or on a dual basis.
All organizational units in studies, teaching and research are bundled in the faculties. There are four faculties at the UAS.
The Faculty of Industrial Engineering with the Department of Industrial Engineering and nine Bachelor's and Master's degree programs. In close cooperation with university and non-university research institutions, the energy industry and other Austrian companies, as well as in an advisory capacity to politicians and public authorities, UAS Technikum Wien is continuously expanding its R&D activities in the field of renewable energy systems and hydrogen engineering in line with the strategic orientation of national and European innovation. The development and implementation of storage technologies (e.g. hydrogen) and their meaningful addition to energy systems represents a major challenge.
Since 2024, there has been a dual bachelor's degree program in hydrogen engineering, where this area of hydrogen research is also being expanded in parallel.
