und des Europäischen Fonds für Regionale
Entwicklung (EFRE) finanziert.

ment Fund (ERDF).
Das in der Standortagentur Tirol beheimatete
Clustermanagement führt die hochkarätigen
Tiroler Forschungseinrichtungen des Fachbe-
reichs Life Sciences mit der am Standort aktiven
Unternehmerschaft zusammen. Dabei vermittelt
es Know-how, bringt thematische Impulse ein,
vernetzt zu spezialisierten Partnern, motiviert
und begleitet interdisziplinäre oder fachüber-
greifende Kooperationen sowie Forschungs- und
Entwicklungspartnerschaften. Es stärkt so die
Innovationsleistung am Standort und verhilft
Unternehmen wie Standort zu verstärkter Wett-
bewerbsfähigkeit. Im In- und Ausland erhöht
der durch den Cluster organisierte geschlossene
Auftritt der Branche die Sichtbarkeit des Tiroler
Know-hows im jeweiligen Fachbereich.
Insgesamt 62 Partner und damit über 2/3 der
Tiroler Life Science Unternehmen bzw. alle
relevanten Tiroler Forschungseinrichtungen
vernetzen sich im Cluster Life Sciences Tirol. Die
Partner kommen aus den Sektoren Medizintech-
nik, Pharma & Biotechnologie, Life Science-
relevante Dienstleistungen sowie Forschung und
Bildung.
Die in diesem Branchenkatalog in den Vorder-
grund gestellte Medizintechnik stellt bei den
Clusterunternehmen das stärkste Segment dar.
Part of the “Standortagentur Tirol”, the cluster
management platform brings together top-
class Tirolean research institutions from the life
sciences sector with active companies located
in the region. It imparts expertise, provides
thematic impetus, offers links to specialist part-
ners, encourages and supports interdisciplinary
or multidisciplinary collaborations and research
and development partnerships, thereby boos-
ting innovation performance in the region and
promoting enhanced competitiveness for both
companies and the region. The cluster creates
an organised, cohesive presence of the sector
which, in turn, leads to an enhanced visibility
of Tirolean expertise in the respective specialist
fields both in Austria and abroad.
A total of 62 partners, that is to say 2/3 of
life science companies in the Tirol and all the
relevant Tirolean research institutions are inter-
linked in Cluster Life Sciences Tirol. The partners
work in the fields of medical engineering,
pharmaceuticals and biotechnology, life science-
related services and research and teaching.
The medical technology companies featured
in this branch catalogue make up the largest
segment within this cluster.
