Kat Lab is a creative studio specializing in the production of custom, handcrafted rugs using the tufting technique. Each piece is unique, combining design, craftsmanship, and individuality.
Working with a material that has been almost forgotten, yet is so ancient, sustainable, and full of history, in combination with the tufting technique, creates a perfect balance between the old and the new.
Through personalized designs, I create individual pieces that enrich both private and commercial spaces.
In addition to production, I also offer tufting workshops, where participants can learn the technique themselves - a creative and interactive way to rediscover the slowness, relationships, and value of an object made with one's own hands.
My wall and floor rugs, as well as other creations, cater to private individuals, businesses, interior designers, art galleries, and anyone interested in unique design and high-quality craftsmanship. As the only studio of its kind in Western Austria, I combine creativity, craftsmanship, and individuality to create modern rugs with artistic intent.
My studio is not only a workshop but also a space for creative exchange and encounters - a place where artists, designers, and enthusiasts come together to inspire each other and share ideas.
