The Liebherr Group is a company managed by the third-generation owner family and divided into divisions with around 45,000 employees.
With Liebherr-Werk Bischofshofen GmbH and its sister plant Liebherr-Werk Telfs GmbH, two of a total of four construction machinery factories of the Liebherr earthmoving division are located in Austria, where they develop and produce wheel loaders for earthmoving and material handling, dozers and tracked loaders as well as telescopic handlers.
The individual Liebherr plants are fully responsible for the machine types that are running off the assembly line there, also with regard to research & development and sales.
This Liebherr philosophy is characterised by expert knowledge of the respective machine types acquired over many years, which makes it possible to fully optimize the machines, which is not least reflected in the lowest fuel consumption.
For Liebherr and its owners, decarbonisation plays an important role, which has already been presented at the world's largest construction machinery trade fair 2022 - Bauma for short - through the application of a broad-based technology kit in a number of machines.
Due to the high performance and energy requirements of construction machinery, hydrogen as an energy source is of particular importance. Special importance is attached to the hydrogen engine, but also to the fuel cell drives.
